Action Figures For Children

The first film I will discuss of Will Smith’s is Independence Day. Without question, this was one of the iconic action films of the 1990s and adding Will Smith to the cast helped make it a smash success. It is funny that at the time, this was one of the most visually stunning movies audiences had ever seen. If you watch this movie again now, the scene where the aliens blow up the White House looks so fake it is laughable.

So what’s my final judgment on this? The story has some plot holes that are pretty striking. The only real motivation for the main characters is kind of wrapped up in a plot that never gets resolved. The climax of the film really doesn’t make a whole lot of sense, though it is done rather well from an action standpoint. There’s a lot of shooting, screaming and running. The film’s kind of a hot mess but not without some fun. Not sure I can recommend it much beyond that though. It’s probably a nice Saturday Noon Afternoon Matinee diversion. I’d say save the cash you’d spend on a ticket for this and spend it on a large popcorn and drink at the premier of Watchmen next month.

A part of the cover for some of the plot holes were flashbacks to the previous film. Sure, there is some degree of backstory needed to advance the revenge plot. However, “Taken 2” seems to rely on the flashbacks in the film for much of the screen time. At some point, the audience member who did not see the first movie has to fill in the blanks on his or her own. Sprinkling little Cliff Note-like flashbacks into the movie simply bogs things down. One reviewer thought the flashbacks were used to hide the flaws in the second movie’s script. Whatever the reason, the people behind “Taken 2” should consider the difference between a sequel and a rehash of the original film.

Preparation pays. Once you and your cast have decided what you’re story is, you must now become the casting director. Keep in mind that sometimes the obvious choice is not always best, especially for a funny video. Make a man into a woman or a child and let a child play an adult and it can be hilarious!

action film The Iron Man 2 Action Figure Movie series will appeal to moviegoers and newer fans, and is what most collectors are going to jump on. War Machine will be hard to find in your local toy shop because it looks amazing. With some great detail and using the armor seen in the film, this toy displayed on your shelf will look great.

In the world of film, the Lord of the Rings is actually a trilogy, but most people remember the film that started it all: a small man (called a “hobbit”) with a mission to save the world from the growing presence of evil.

Having read these books, get a Camcorder and practice in front of it. Do monologues, just talk and watch yourself talking. Do cold readings in front of your video camera. Watch yourself carefully and critically. Teach yourself. There is no better teacher in film work than you watching yourself on camera.

So today, I want to relate the reason why I began making films. I figure if I explain to you how a guy who never even picked up a video camera in his whole life suddenly decided to make a film that went on to sell enough to, not only recover production costs, but to generate a steady income stream and continue selling all over the world, maybe that will inspire you to do the same. I almost entitled this segment of free film school “How I Did It”. I’m specifically thinking about that scene in Young Frankenstein where Gene Wilder finds a book in his grandfather’s library. I love me some Mel Brooks movies! I figure “Action!” is more appropriate for film school to encourage folks to simply take that first step… so, ACTION!
